Academy for Family Empowerment, Inc. (AFE) is a community based mental health agency founded in 2003 by Adenise Henry-Simmons, Chief Executive Officer. AFE strives to be a premier counseling agency within the state of Georgia. Our primary goal is to promote the safety and well-being of children, youth, adults and families through the provision of individual, family, and group counseling services & other supportive services. Our services are tailored to empower the lives for individual and to focus on their strengths.

Our Funding
AFE currently accepts private insurances and Medicaid. We currently accept the following insurance plans:
Private Insurance:
Blue Cross/Blue Shield & Aetna.
Medicaid:
Amerigroup, Peachstate, Cenpatico, Care Source & ASO.
Private/Cash Payment:
Academy for Family Empowerment, Inc. also accepts private paying consumers, without insurance. For consumers without income, we offer a sliding fee scale for services.
